by admin on September 9, 2009

In a new initiative to encourage businesses to use energy efficient servers, web hosting provider SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) is offering up to $ 300 in cash in commercial enterprises in their old servers for more energy-efficient SingleHop servers.

SingleHop Cash for clunkers server program is inspired by the popular government program for cars.

The program allows new customers to upgrade to newer, faster and energy-saving machines dedicated server, to receive back in cash and gift market.

To qualify for the promotion, customers must submit a copy of your receipt showing that their energy-wasting old server was canceled.

The web hosting service also offers customers who trade over the machines, especially older to receive a larger amount of cash benefits.

In other words, the “largest gap energy use, the greater the extra money back,” says Dan Ushman, Vice President of Sales for SingleHop.

“SingleHop has always focused on providing fast, efficient and energy-saving servers, including the forefront of introducing ultra-Intel Atom processor for use on dedicated servers – the result includes better performance and power savings 70 percent versus other similar speed processors, “said Dan Salcedo, vice president of Communications for SingleHop. “Ultimately, SingleHop Cash for clunkers Server program cements our approach to the environment and we are confident will encourage more economic activity than would have occurred without this incentive privately funded.
