Hosting provider NetBenefit (www.netbenefit.com) said Wednesday it has launched a virtualization platform for high availability, Ultra-V.

Based on Module 2 for Microsoft Windows Server 2008, the platform follows the success of the Hyper-V based virtual private servers NetBenefit published earlier this year.

The web host also recently introduced its new range of dedicated servers based on Intel Nehalem architecture again.

The new Ultra-Plaform V is designed to leverage the performance and virtualization capabilities of the latest blade servers from Dell and Intel Nehalem microarchitecture.

The cost effective virtualization platform offers flexibility, scalability and resilience, says NetBenefit. The platform is also protected by a security layer firewall.

Ultra-V platform allows users to quickly increase the RAM or CPU specification of each virtual private server. Can successfully perform other maintenance activities, such as patches, servers to host customers without experiencing any downtime.

“Many of our customers recognize the benefits of virtualization in terms of flexibility, rapid deployment and competitive pricing,” said Colin Bell, managing director at NetBenefit. “Ultra-V platform offers all this with impressive failover capabilities, scalability and performance backed by excellent technical support 24×7 and account management experience is at the center of NetBenefit managed hosting service.
