Sun Microsystems, Inc.’s next CommunityOne developer meeting at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, is booked to happen from June 1-3, 2009.  Growing in recognition since its launch in San Francisco in 2007, this is the 3rd yearly developer meeting. There’s no charge to attend CommunityOne on Mon. , June one, with only a nominal fee to visit the deep technology sessions on June two and three.

All CommunityOne attendees will receive free access to the JavaOne meeting general sessions and Pavilion on Tues. two June thru Thu. four June 2009. Julian Edwards, Meeting boss for CommunityOne from Sun Microsystems remarked, ”Sun has long supported the invention and choice of the opensource community. We are predicting hosting thousands of developers and scholars for a pair days jammed with education, technology and exchange.”.

The meeting’s opening day keynote will be delivered by John Fowler, executive VP of Systems, and Dave Douglas, senior vice chairman of Cloud Computing and Chief Sustainability Officer, Sun Microsystems. Expert-led technology sessions are open to attendees during the day, with the day closing with an evening reception from 6:00-7:00 pm.

Building on its dedication to scholars, Sun is also providing free full meeting passes for scholars to participate in the entire CommunityOne and JavaOne experience. Students will have full access to all general sessions, technology sessions, birds of feathers, and specifically developed Java College classes, as well as the chance to network with leading-edge technologists from all over the world. CloudCamp 2009, is an unconference style event where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies can gather to exchange experiences and concepts. The focus will include web development, system administration, database development and more.

CommunityOne will also offer hands-on technology laboratories and an ‘Open Space’ for open-source groups to hold public dialogue. The CommunityOne hands-on demo area is joining the JavaOne pavilion. Session details are found in the CommunityOne catalogue. The 2009 CommunityOne program will encompass lots of detailed technical sessions, including the following:. Next-generation platforms : development and deployment in the cloud and virtualization.

CommunityOne is a three-day event that may bring together developers, scholars and technologists to concentrate on open-source creativity and implementation. The meeting’s programs on June one are the results of a public call for papers and will be offering more than eighty sessions controlled by contributors of many opensource and community projects, including Ajax, MySQL, GlassFish, JavaFX, OpenOffice.org, OpenSolaris, NetBeans, Groovy, PHP, Apache, Android, Jython and Django.
