Texas-based Heroes for Kids provides money and social support to families of youngsters fighting cancer. The organization raises cash and gives it without delay to the families that are fighting financially as the result of lost wages, medical or household bills, or the price of funerals for their children, ages nil to twenty-two, who have lost their battle with cancer.

Heroes for Youngsters had formerly hosted its website with another hosting provider, but the non-profit announces that untrustworthy service and a chain of power outages led the organization to find NeoSpire’s services.

In the last 5 years, Heroes for Youngsters has raised over $2 million bucks for over two thousand Texan families and spends $30,000 every month on direct monetary help. “With the mixed strength of this charitable organization and NeoSpire technology, I’m assured Heroes for Youngsters will achieve bigger success with their events and better serve their mission,” says Mitch Gervis, NeoSpire president and Chairman .

“Offering our services to Heroes for Youngsters is one small way for us to help an organization we really believe in. NeoSpire was showcased in a worked example performed by Dell, concentrating on the way the web host maintains expansion regardless of the world industrial recession.

The originally booked for Mon. evening to make space for traffic increases over the last few months, Twitter requested the network capacity upgrade more than seven thousand miles away from the election at its San Jose facility to be delayed, according to a DatacenterDynamics report.

Twitter founder Biz Stone asserted in a blog post that NTT readily cooperated, having recognized Twitter’s critical role in Iran at that time. It deferred the upgrade till Tues. afternoon.

The re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been questioned by blogs and social networking sites, which became a crucial resource on the problem, according to the Washington Post. While Iran sorts out whether Ahmadinejad or reform applicant Mir Hossein Mousavi correctly won the election, demonstrations both for the governing body and against ; tranquil and violent ; online and off have been gripping Iran and the globe.

EMC shortly jumped in on June one, offering a $30-per-share bid, to which NetApp soon countered with a like offer. A couple of weeks gone, Data Domain agreed to be purchased by NetApp for just short of $2 bill in readies and stock.

EMC later approached Info Domain’s shareholders with a similar offer that is paid wholly in readies, making it barely more captivating than NetAff’s offer.

According to the report, the court actions allege the technique that Data Domain’s board took to accept NetApp’s offer may not have been a fair and open one. On June twelve, lawyers at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann filed the suit in Delaware for the Police and Fire Retirement System of the town of Detroit and what the firm calls “similarly situated investors of Information Domain”.

In the suit, the plantiff allege that Information Domain’s board did not stick to its responsibility to stockholders by refusing to agree terms with EMC and for agreeing to sell Information Domain to NetApp without acting to maximise the price paid to Information Domain’s shareholders. In a prepared statement, Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann law firm alleges that “Data Domain’s board violated their fiduciary needs by approving the first and the restructured deals with NetApp,” and as a consequence, gave NetApp an “improper bidding advantage in the shape of a termination fee, a no-shop / no-talk provision and matching rights.

The firm continues by claiming that the “board granted each of these deal protections before any value-maximizing process took place, in a blatant effort to make sure that their favored coalition partner is Info Domain’s final acquirer.

The legal action requests the court to give out an injunction which will stop Info Domain and NetApp from completing their fusion. Legal firm Levi & Korsinskyn also filed similar, even though separate, suit in California last week against the organization’s board. The firm also released a statement : “Under the conditions of the suggestion, Info Domain’s stockholders would receive $30 to be paid in a mix of money and NetApp stock.

In addition, NetApp offered positions on its board to certain Information Domain officials and there are rumours the Info Domain Chairperson Slootman may be the subsequent Boss man of NetApp. This raises questions to whether the sales process conducted by the board was fair and open.

A hostname is the unique name by which a network-attached device ( which could consist of a PC, file server, network storage device, fax, copier, wire modem, for example. ) is understood on a network.

On the Net, the terms “hostname” and “domain name” are commonly used interchangeably, but there are delicate technical differences between them. Hostnames are employed by varied naming systems, NIS, DNS, SMB, etc, and the meaning of the word hostname will change according to the naming system in question, which in turn varies by sort of network. A hostname suggestive to a Microsoft NetBIOS workgroup might be an invalid Net hostname. When presented with a hostname and no context, it is mostly safe to say that the network is the web and DNS is the hostname’s naming system. They are human-readable nicknames, which at last correspond to unique network hardware MAC addresses.

On a straightforward neighborhood network, a hostname is generally a single word : as an example, an organization’s CVS server could be named “cvs” or “server-1″.

Online, a hostname is a domain name allotted to a host PC.

This is generally a mix of the host’s local name with its parent domain’s name. For instance, “en.wikipedia.org” includes a local hostname ( “en” ) and the domain name “wikipedia.org”. It is possible for a single host PC to have many hostnames ; but typically the operating system of the host likes to have one hostname that the host uses for itself. Any domain name may also be a hostname, so long as the limitations discussed below are followed. A hostname might be a domain name, if it is properly arranged into the domain name system. Hostnames are composed from series of labels concatenated with dots, as are all domain names[1]. For instance, “en.wikipedia.org” is a hostname.

Each label must be between one and 63 characters long, and the complete hostname has up to 255 characters. RFCs remit a hostname’s labels may contain only the ASCII letters ‘a’ thru ‘z’ ( case-insensitive ), the digits ’0′ thru ’9′, and the hyphen.

Hostname labels can’t begin or end with a hyphen. No other symbols, punctuation characters, or blank spaces are authorized. Systems like DomainKeys and service records use the underline as a means to reassure their special domain names aren’t confused with hostnames. As an important example of failure to comply, Windows systems frequently use underlines in hostnames.

Since some systems will dump invalid hostnames whilst others will not, the use of invalid hostname characters has led to many refined issues in systems that connect to the wider world. For instance, RFC-compliant mail servers will refuse to supply mail for Windows computers with names containing underlines. So, the hostname “en.wikipedia.org” is made from the DNS labels “en”, “wikipedia” and “org”. Labels like “2600″ and “3com” can be employed in hostnames, but “-hi-” and “*hi*” are invalid. A hostname is thought to be a totally qualified domain name ( FQDN ) if all of the labels up to and including the top-level domain name ( TLD ) are mentioned. The hostname “en.wikipedia.org” terminates with the top-level domain “org” and is so fully-qualified. Relying on the system, an unqualified hostname like “compsci” or “wikipedia” could be mixed with default domain names to figure out the totally qualified domain name. So, a student at Harvard may be in a position to send mail to “joecompsci” and have it immediately qualified by the mail systems so that it is sent to “joecompsci.harvard.edu”.

Ouran highschool Host Club is a manga series by Bisco Hatori, serialized in Hakusensha’s LaLa mag since Aug five, 2003.

The series follows Haruhi Fujioka, a grant student at Ouran highschool, and the other members of the favored host club. The romantic comedy concentrates on the relations inside and without the Club and satirises the clichs and stereotypes that endure in series directed at girls. There also are occasional points where the characters “break the 4th wall”.

The manga has been changed into a chain of audio dramas, an animated TV series directed by Takuya Igarashi and produced by Bones, and a visible novel by Idea Factory. Haruhi Fujioka is a grant student at Ouran high school, a fictional faculty found in Bunky, Tokyo. Thanks to the exorbitant value of the faculty uniform, Haruhi resorts to wearing long slacks, polo shirts and vests. Combined with her massive glasses and messed up short hair, Haruhi’s look causes her to be confused for a boy.

Searching for a quiet place to observe, Haruhi stumbles on the 3rd Music Room, a place where the Ouran high school host club gathers, a group of 6 very interesting male scholars. During their first meeting, Haruhi incidentally knocks over and breaks a vase priced at 8,000,000 and is told she was in debt to them for her action. She then joins the club, dressed like a boy to pay off her debt. ( In the U. S. British manga the amount is US$80,000 ). The Ouran Personal Academy incorporates kindergarten to 12th grade. Most students come from loaded families but, in rare occasions, special grants are granted to scholars from a lower revenue bracket. The college’s unlicensed motto is “Lineage counts first, wealth a close second,” meaning students with stellar family backgrounds are given top concern over those from rich families but low social standing. Tamaki thought up the Host Club whilst in ninth grade and began it on entering the Ouran highschool. The members of the Host Club are highest ranking scholars at the college. At Ouran highschool, class is decided by lineage and intelligence ( “A” is the highest class and “D” the lowest customarily composed of the children of Yakuza leaders ).

All of the members are in class An and have a tendency to be number 1 or 2 in their class coming from the richest families in Japan with the exception of the twins and Haruhi.

The twins are ranked 4th and 5th in their class and Haruhi is a grant student receiving the special privilege of being in class A thanks to her grant standing ( she is ranked number one in her year ). Shoppers have the liberty to select which host will entertain them, playing to their explicit wants and interests. Each member of the host club is a special “type” which suits different consumers. Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin and “Hunny” and “Mori” also show off respective close relations to please or entertain buyers though in the truthfulness of these relationship’s are rather suspect. Also Takashi Morinozuka, called “Mori” follows Mitsukuni Haninozuka, called “Hunny” as a best chum. Tamaki Suoh is the leader of the club, and its creator and Kyoya Ootori manages all of the events for the club. The 3rd Music Room has been fitted out by the Club to house their business and, often, it has got a categorical theme, starting from a tropical shangri la to a normal picnic, to increase the customers’ pleasure and keep things engaging.

Haruhi is the androgynous hero of the tale and the Natural type.

She comes out of a lower-class family, but is extremely smart, so she’s a grant student at Ouran.

Her mum died when she was five years of age and so her cross-dressing pa raises her on his very own. She could be a reputedly boring and disinclined hero who has no interest in pretty and flashy things, sweet food, or frivolous males. The members of the Host Club all have a kind of weakness for her and either brazenly or anonymously like her. Haruhi seems as if she does not care about the host club member’s feelings ; however, she studies each one of them individually and cares for them all much. The twins start to notice that Haruhi seems to care more for Tamaki than she appears to demonstrate, that has caused some conflict. Haruhi later realizes that she has feelings for Tamaki.

The president of the Host club and the Prince type. He is very keen and kind, always prepared to help folk, and has an interest in many things. He is considered the most enticing of the hosts, as he is the prince “type” and the president of the club.

Also he is terribly clever ( second in his class behind Kyoya ), and a talented piano player. He is terribly sincere in what he asserts, and takes his role to delight girls seriously, which stems from his deep love of his mummy.

However, the other club members recognize him as a fool almost all of the time as he is awfully dense about his very own eventualities ( though keen about others ), extremely stupid and melodramatic on occassion, and rather greedy and vain. He’s also got a wierd obsession for the “commoner’s lifestyle” and loves ramen and instant coffee ( considered “commoner food” ). He considers the Host Club to be a family and named himself pop and Kyoya as the mum. His dad is the super of Ouran highschool and his folks is an example of the richest in Japan. His mummy was compelled to leave him so he would hopefully one day be recognized as the successor of the Suoh family by his grandma, who does not like him.

Tamaki is half-French and half-Japanese and said to be really pretty. He later finds he has feelings for Haruhi, yet, he thinks this like to be fatherly love and not romantic. Later, in chapter sixty-seven of the manga, he comes to understand that he is indeed in love with Haruhi, not as a ‘father’ but as a man.

The VP of the Host club and the Cool type. He is frequently called “Mother” by Tamaki and “Shadow King” by the remainder of the club.

He is behind almost all of the Host Club schemes and the other club members have a tendency to go with whatever Kyoya announces, occasionally even favoring his leadership over Tamaki’s.

Despite their opposite personalities, Kyoya and Tamaki have been best buddies since their last year of middle college, when Tamaki moved to Ouran. He’s a 3rd child and has spent his entire life respecting his folks name and yielding his true capabilities in order to not cast a shadow over his siblings ; however, it is clear that Kyoya has more aspiration, drive, and talent than both. Across the series Kyoya refers back to the fact that as he’s a 3rd child he will not inheirit his dad business and appears sour about this towards his dad. He also manages the majority of the finances with the club and has a practice of not exhibiting vital info to the other hosts till the difficulty to hand is already over. Matching twins who used to reject others and are the Tiny Demon types. Only in the near past after they joined the Host Club did they start to open and permit folks into their world. They are the same age as Haruhi and are in her class, and so have a special bond with her ; Haruhi was the 1st and only person who is ready to tell the twins apart though it’s been exposed that Tamaki also could for a period of time, something that both had anonymously longed for. They enjoy playing “games” and tricks on classmates, particularly Tamaki.

Hikaru, on the other hand, is awfully juvenile and rather mean, but often as he has difficulty expressing his feelings. The twins later on discover that they too bay feelings for Haruhi. Kaoru does not love Haruhi enough to need her only for himself ( as he values his relationship with his bro more ), so he ends up letting Hikaru be the twin who loves her romantically. After this development, the twins start to attempt welcoming their differences, even going as far as changing Hikaru’s hair color so that others can tell them apart. A. K. A “Honey” and the Loli-Shota type. He appears to be a primary school kid instead of the 17-year-old third-year student he really is. Honey is obsessive about candy and anything lovable, very similar to his youthful appearance would dictate.

Honey is adored by the other characters for his cuteness and has a nickname for everybody like Haru-chan for Haruhi. Honey carries a plush bunny called “Usa-chan” around with him. Regardless of his childish looks, he is deceptively powerful and highly talented in king fu skills. He is generally found with Mori, his cousin by wedding. Honey comes out of a family that owns a nationally-renown dojo and are famous for their self-defense skills capabilities. In one episode it was announced if his full combat capabilities were unleashed, he would be considered a threat to state security. Though it would appear to be a cover, his cute side and heavy side are both extremely real. After Tamaki explains to him that being himself is true strength, he resolves never to modify.

Mori dedicates his life to Honey by safeguarding him and only gets indignant when Honey is wounded or mistreated. However, he is also awfully close with the other club members and many classmates look up to him due to his quiet but peaceful nature.

He customarily only speaks when he deems it obligatory, and responds to questions often with monosyllabic answers.

Mori’s family has served Honey’s family for years, till a wedding 2 generations back made them cousins. Though the servant-master bond was technically damaged, Mori still serves faithfully as Honey’s guardian and best buddy.

The hosts file is a P.

C.

File used to store info on where to get a node on a PC network. The hosts file is employed as a supplement to ( or a replacement of ) the Domain Name System ( DNS ) on networks of varying sizes. Unlike DNS, the hosts file is under the control of the local PC’s director. The ARPANET ( predecessor to the Net ) had no domain name system for giving network nodes their own addresses. Seeing as there had been no centralized system for this reason, each network node contained its own “map” of the network nodes that it required to understand about and allotted them names that were remarkable to the user.

There wasn’t any system for guaranteeing that all references to a given node on a network were called by the same name, nor was there a method to read some other user’s hosts file to immediately get their copy. The tiny size of the ARPANET permitted hosts files to be used with some convenience for a period of time.

As individual TCP / IP PC networks started becoming favored the hosts file changed into a large burden on system administratorsnetworks and network nodes were being added all of the timemaking maintenance of the hosts file a role which grew noticeably. Standardization of HOSTS.TXT in RFC 952 ) and distribution customs ( e.g. The Hostname Server in RFC 953 ) helped with these problems, but the centralized and monolothic nature of host files ultimately needed the creation of the distributed Domain Name System. The hosts file has alternate uses, including filtering online advertising ( adverts ) by having entries for known ad servers redirect to machines without the advertising on them, or more often by redirecting references to ad servers to the local address 127.0.0.1. This can save network bandwidth as well by getting rid of requests to the DNS server used to get address info. The user’s experience might be further reinforced by running a minimal Internet server domestically that only returns a blank page for each request. In this manner the adverts from the Internet pages will never basically be requested over the Net and will fail to appear in the user’s browser rather than throwing “not found” mistakes. However, if the hosts file is to be used for this reason, it has to be kept contemporary with inventories of Web servers known to host such content.

Also, on some Windows machines, the “DNS Client” service may want to be stopped in order for changes to the hosts file to have effect.

Obstructing advertisements in this fashion may lead to faster browser operation and performance improvement for several reasons. Another use of the host file is to dam known malevolent or criminal domains and servers that might contain spyware, adware, and other malware.

The free application Spybot – Search & Destroy, for instance, encompasses a feature called “Immunize” that populates the hosts file with thousands of URLs of such web sites redirected to 127.0.0.1 to dam them. The hosts file may also be “hijacked,” or used for malignant purposes. As an example, adware, PC viruses, trojan horses, and other malware can edit the hosts file to redirect traffic from a “safe” site ( like Google or Wikipedia ) to sites hosting content that is offensive or intrusive to the user or the user’s computer system.[2] The widespread worm Mydoom.B blocked users from visiting sites per PC security and antivirus software and also influenced users’ ability to use the Windows Update website.

Redirecting

A useful and time-saving tip for website programmers, intranet developers, and IT managers is to enable non-standard TLDs on a LAN for various purposes, such as .local to access the company’s intranet or .new to test websites.

The Host is a 2006 South Korean monster film, which also contains parts of comedy and drama films. The film was directed by Bong Joon-ho, who also co-wrote the screenplay, with Baek Chul-hyun. Starring in the movie as members of a mediocre family thrust into the middle of unusual events were Song Kang-ho, Byeon Hee-bong, Park Hae-il, Bae Doona and Ko Ah-seong. Following the success of the director’s prior work, Memories of Murder, The Host was heavily forecasted and hyped.

It was released on a record number of screens in its home country on July twenty-seven, 2006 and broke boxoffice records thru its domestic run. By the end of its run on Nov 8th, the film had been seen over 13,000,000 times, making it the highest grossing South Korean film ever, thrashing the prior leader The King and the Clown, which had attracted 12.3 million folks. The film was released on a limited basis in the US on March nine, 2007, and on DVD, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD formats on July twenty-four, 2007.

The film opens with an Yankee army pathologist commanding a disinclined Korean helper to violate custom by dumping over a hundred bottles of formaldehyde down the drain, that leads to the Han River. Some years on, 2 men are standing and fishing in Han Brook when one reveals a mutant amphibian which is rarely shown.

He releases the palm-sized creature when it bites him. 4 more years after, a person commits suicide by jumping off a bridge into Han Stream , but not before seeing that there’s “something dark, underwater.”. In the modern day, Park Gang-du ( Song Kang-ho ) is a reputedly slow-witted man ( his father claims he’d been that way since a smash on the head many years earlier ) who runs a snack-bar with his pop, Hee-bong ( Byeon Hee-bong ). Hyun-seo ( Ko Ah-seong ) is a schoolgirl and Gang-du’s child. Gang-du’s sister, Nam-joo ( Bae Doona ), is a state medalist archer who has an unlucky bent to hesitate, and his bro Nam-il ( Park Hae-il ) is an alcoholic previous activist who hasn’t done much since graduating from school.

Gang-du is delivering a meal to some patrons, and sees a group gathering along Han Brook . He joins them as they stand close to the side of the stream and point at something under the Wonhyo Bridge. It drops into the water, and moves towards shore. Gang-du throws a can of lager into the water near it, and the creature grabs for the can. The other folks nearby then start to playfully toss other pieces of food to it, but the creature vanishes from view. Some moments later, the creature seems on shore behind them, and starts to attack and devour folks.

Gang-du and an Yank man try and fight the creature, and successfully hit it with a street sign.

The creature then bites off the Yankee’s arm. As Gang-du runs away, he sees Hyun-seo appear from the break bar and grabs her hand without stopping. He then stumbles and accidentally grabs a different girl. A short distance away, he looks back and sees the creature pull Hyun-seo into the brook. Gang-du then sees the monster pulling her on the opposite bank before vanishing into the water. As the family mourns the young girl in a shelter set up for victims of the assault, govt members in bio-hazard suits arrive and demand to understand who’s had direct contact with the creature. Gang-du admits that he has, and the family is made to the infirmary, where Gang-du is quarantined. The Korean executive claims the creature isn’t only a direct danger, but also the host of a threatening, unknown pathogen that they claim snuffed out the Yank whose arm had been bitten off. Gang-du receives a phone call from Hyun-seo, who isn’t dead, but besieged in a sewer. She’s cut off as her phone battery runs out.

Gang-du makes an attempt to explain to others, but his reason sounds more insane than sane to the folk at the infirmary. Hee-bong believes his child, and uses up his nest egg in order that they can escape from the hospital and rescue Hyun-seo. They are then able to get a van, 2 non-yellow hazmat suits, weapons, and a map of the sewer system round the Han Brook . They return to their break stand at the banks of the Han stream to rest for the night. They wake to find the creature watching them. Hee-bong fires on the creature, leading it to attack them and overturn the break stand. As the creature attempts to get at them within, Hee-bong fires a shot that causes the creature to escape. Hee-bong is finally finished by the creature, and Gang-du is caught by squaddies ; Nam-il and Nam-joo escape but are separated.

In the surgery, Gang-du overhears that there is no pathogen : the govt is simply perpetuating a sham to save face. The Yankee scientist who lets out the secret says that Gang-du is infected in the brain. A gang of doctors perform a frontal lobotomy on Gang-du. Later, a nurse ridicules the reputedly brain-damaged and non responsive Gang-du.

He all of a sudden takes her hostage with a syringe full of his “infected” blood, his “slow-wittedness” reputedly cured by the lobotomy, and escapes to find that he isn’t in a hospice, but the back of an army van on the Han Stream shores. He drives to Wonhyo Bridge in an ambulance. Hyun-seo has been surrounded in a deep sewer pit since she was spit out by the creature. The creature periodically drops off victims into the pit, to store for later. Hyun-seo finds all of the others dead or dying excepting a young street urchin named Se-ju.

Nam-il goes to a university mate for help, and traces Hyun-seo’s telephone call. Before losing consciousness under a bridge, he sends a SMS message with Hyun-seo’s location to Nam-joo. Nam-Joo goes to the bridge, but comes across the creature. She is near enough that she has got a shot, but just as she has got the creature in her sights, she hesitates.

The creature runs past her and she is knocked comatose. Hyun-seo attempts to climb out of the sewer by a rope fashioned from her and other victims’ garments, but the creature snatches her and places her back on her feet. The camera cuts to black as the creature pounces on her and Se-ju.

Gang-du finds the feeding pit only in time to see the creature dashing away with a kid’s arm dangling from its mouth.

He chases it on land as it dives into the stream. Nam-il wakes to see a homeless man who has been inclining to him, and with the person’s help and spirits, he makes many Molotov cocktails and together they take a taxi to the Wonhyo Bridge. She sees the creature and Gang-du run past her and follows them. The three brothers are led straight to the riverbank, where the creature attacks protesters demonstrating the govt’s use of Agent Yellow – a chemical weapon highly dangerous to humans – against the creature ( and non-existent pathogen ). Police press back the protesters, making an attempt to hold them back.

The bunch ultimately disperses as the creature comes close to the coast. All 3 brothers meet up momentarily on top of the bridge, but Gang-Du jumps from the bridge to follow the creature. Agent Yellow is released and incapacitates the creature briefly. Pushing thru the lethal smoke, Gang-du pulls out the 2 outwardly dead kids from the creature’s mouth.

Hyun-Seo had seized the other kid and had evaded being entirely swallowed by grabbing onto a big tooth but the 3 brothers discover she has snuffed i. The creature revives and tries to revisit the stream. Infuriated , Gang-du grabs a street sign and starts to battle the creature. Nam-il also starts to throw Molotov cocktails at it he had prepared formerly. The creature, seemingly frightened of fire, continues to escape. The homeless man whom Nam-il met seems and douses the creature in petrol, but Nam-il incidentally drops his last bottle as he tries to throw. Nam-joo picks up one of the lit slivers with her arrow and shoots it into the creature’s eye, making it burst into flames, howling in pain. The creature makes a last attempt to leave towards the protection of the river, but Gang-du eventually impales it with a street sign. As Nam-joo and Nam-il cradle their dead niece, Gang-du manages to revive Se-ju. In the epilogue, we see Gang-du and Se-ju living as a family in the reconstructed and cozy-looking snack bar, sometime in the wintertime. He is getting his rifle but then sets it down, believing it was his imagination. The kid asks him to switch it off, as he finds it dull, and they eat dinner.
